Since the establishment of diplomatic ties in 1997, China-Bahamas relations have developed steadily. The two countries have maintained high-level exchanges, expanded cooperation in various fields, deepened cultural exchanges and maintained communication and cooperation in international and regional affairs. Facing the impact of COVID-19, China and The Bahamas have stood by each other and worked together to fight the epidemic. The Chinese government has shared its prevention and control experiences in a timely manner and provided several batches of medical supplies to The Bahamas.
China sees The Bahamas as an important partner for cooperation in the Caribbean. China is committed to working with The Bahamas to deepen cooperation in the fight against the epidemic, boost economic recovery and development, enhance the well-being of the two peoples, and inject positive energy into regional and world peace and development.
