Important Notice on Consular Affairs

In light of the COVID-19 epidemic situation, the consular section of the Chinese Embassy has made the following adjustments:

1. The Embassy advises postponing all non-essential or non-emergent applications of passports and other travel documents, and notarization and legalization businesses. Chinese citizens may apply for replacement of passports and other travel documents even after the their current travel documents have expired.

2. From March 24 until further notice, all applicants should make appointment for their applications. For appointment, please call 467-2969, or send email to consulate_bhs@mfa.gov.cn beforehand. Any application without appointment will not be accepted.

3. Applicants coming to the Embassy should be without the symptoms of fever, cough or difficulty in breath, and has no close contact with confirmed or suspected COVID-19 cases recently.
