Beijing to Quarantine and Test All International Arrivals
2020-03-25 03:50

As risks of importing cases escalate due to the rapid spread of COVID-19 outside China, keeping infections outside Beijing has become a serious challenge and top priority for this major international port of entry. Only with more stringent prevention and control measures can risks and loopholes be minimized to ensure the safety of China's capital city.

On top of placing all Beijing-bound international arrivals under quarantine in designated places, Beijing has decided to add the following measures starting from 0:00, 25 March:

1. All international arrivals in Beijing regardless of their final destinations will be subject to quarantine in designated places and receive nucleic acid test.

2. International arrivals entering Beijing through other ports of entry in China within the past 14 days will all be subject to quarantine in designated places and receive nucleic acid tests.

Expenses incurred during the isolation period will be borne by the quarantined travelers. Testing cost will be collected on the basis of whether the traveler has basic medical insurance or commercial insurances and other applicable regulations.
