I. Effective from 24 August, 2022, foreigners holding valid APEC business travel cards to engage in business activities in China and foreign students holding valid study residence permits do not need to apply for a new visa to China and could enter China with the above documents.

II. For foreign students who intend to go to China for long-term academic education, new students can apply for study visas(X1) directly to the Embassy with the original and photocopy of the Admission Letter issued by a school in China, original and photocopy of "Visa Application for Study in China" (Form JW201 or Form JW202), while returning students who don’t have valid Chinese residence permits for study can apply with the original and photocopy of "Visa Application for Study in China" (Form JW201 or Form JW202) and the proof of returning to school issued by the school in China.
