On October 10, 2022, President Xi Jinping sent a congratulatory message to Alexander Van der Bellen on his re-election as Federal President of Austria.

Xi Jinping noted that he attaches great importance to China-Austria relations,     and is ready to work with President Van der Bellen to push for new development of China-Austria friendly strategic partnership to the benefit of the two countries and peoples.
