On 11 July 2019, Ambassador Huang Qinguo paid a courtey call on His Excellency Cornelius Smith, new Governer-General of The Bahamas. Ambassador Huang forwarded a congratulatory letter from Chinese President Xi Jinping for the 46th anniversary of the independence of The Bahamas. His Excellency Cornelius Smith expressed his gratitude to President Xi Jinping and also to China’s support for the development of The Bahamas for years. The two sides discussed other issues on China-Bahamas relations as well.
