On 19 June, H.E. Yan Jiarong, Chinese Ambassador to The Bahamas, met with newly-appointed Minister of Transport Leon Lundy. Director of the Department of Aviation of The Bahamas, Dr. Kenneth Romer, together with two visiting Chinese scholars, Dr. Huang Jiefang, Chair Professor of Wuhan University and a renowned expert in aviation law and international law, and Professor Liu Hao, Executive Dean at the School of Global Governance and Vice Dean of the School of Management at Beijing Institute of Technology, and a leading expert on unmanned aviation, also attended. The two sides exchanged views on enhancing cooperation between China and The Bahamas in civil aviation and capacity building.

During their visit to The Bahamas, the Chinese scholars also delivered lectures at the University of The Bahamas and The Bahamas Alrae Ramsey Institute of Foreign Affairs.
