On 10 June, the Chinese Embassy in The Bahamas held a celebration marking the 2026 International Day for Dialogue among Civilizations and launched the China-Bahamas Forum on Dialogue among Civilizations. A video message by Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi marking the International Day for Dialogue among Civilizations was played during the event. Chinese alumni and friends from various sectors of Bahamian society attended the event. Discussions on educational and cultural exchanges as well as the Global Civilization Initiative were held.

H.E. Yan Jiarong, Chinese Ambassador to The Bahamas, delivered remarks elaborating on the Global Civilization Initiative and announcing the establishment of the China-Bahamas Forum on Dialogue among Civilizations, which will serve as an annual platform for cultural exchanges between China and The Bahamas and especially for alumni who studied in China to share experiences and memories. Ambassador Yan expressed the hope that Bahamian friends who know about the real China would continue to contribute their wisdom and efforts to strengthening people-to-people exchanges between the two countries.

The Chinese Embassy produced a video highlighting China-Bahamas cultural exchanges, which was screened during the event. Quizzes and games were also held, contributing to a warm and friendly atmosphere.
