On July 6 and 8, 2026, Her Excellency Chinese Ambassador to The Bahamas, Yan Jiarong, published a byline article entitled “Who Governs China” in The Nassau Guardian and The Tribune, to commemorate the 105th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC).

The article reviewed the CPC’s remarkable journey and historic achievements over the past 105 years, stressing that the leadership of the CPC is the choice of history and of the Chinese people. It emphasized that understanding China begins with understanding the CPC, and only through understanding the CPC can one truly understand China.

The article highlighted that, under the leadership of the CPC, China has consistently adhered to a people-centered development philosophy and pursued long-term development goals with consistency and perseverance; advanced reform and innovation, advancing China's scientific and technological capabilities from following others, to keeping pace with global front runners, and increasingly to taking the lead in some areas; upheld win-win cooperation, remaining committed to promoting human progress and world harmony by building a community with a shared future for humanity.

The article highlighted that China stands ready to strengthen South-South cooperation and deepen exchanges on governance with The Bahamas, so as to deliver greater benefits to the peoples of both countries.
