On September 11 and 12, 2011 during the Chinese traditional Mid-Autumn Festival holidays, Chinese Ambassador to The Bahamas Mr. Hu Shan inspected the construction sites of the new premises of the Chinese Embassy and the Baha Mar mega-resort and extended his warm festival regards, on behalf of the Chinese Embassy, to all the construction workers and management staff from Guangdong Shantou Jian'an Company and China Construction America respectively in the company of Counsellor Zhai Xingfu and other staff members of the Embassy. Ambassador Hu joined them in the celebration of the festival.
Ambassador Hu spoke highly of the construction workers for their dedication and patriotism of "sacrificing their small families for the big family of the motherland". He said overseas projects symbolize the image of China, thus encouraging them to make persistent efforts for top-notch projects. Meanwhile Ambassador Hu advised them to pay great attention to safety.
