    The Bahamas is a shining pearl at the intersection of the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean, with fascinating scenery and hospitable people. Although China and The Bahamas are far apart geographically, the friendship between the two countries has a long history, dating back as early as 1870 when Chinese people first settled in Nassau. The common pursuit of peaceful development and win-win cooperation has brought the two countries and peoples even closer at the present time.

    Since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and The Bahamas in 1997, under the attention and guidance of the leaders of the two countries, political mutual trust has been consolidated, practical cooperation has been steadily advanced, and the friendship between the two peoples has been increasingly deepened, bringing tangible benefits to peoples of the two countries which is in the fundamental interests of both sides.

    The Chinese Embassy in The Bahamas is committed to promoting friendly exchanges and cooperation between the two countries and peoples. Under the Vision of Building a Community with a Shared Future for Mankind, my colleagues and I are ready to work with friends from all walks of life to promote China-Bahamas relations to a new level.
